Shaping Your Essence

Your fate prototype is divided into five distinct archetypes, each shaping your entire gameplay experience.

Start as a paragon of virtue, a scoundrel, or something in between. How others react to you changes, dialogue alters, and tasks shift accordingly. Your karma flows with your choices, and the you at the beginning of your journey may not be the you at the end.

Deception in Battle

The battle system is turn-based, requiring strategic planning. Seize the initiative by tossing fuel drums at enemies and detonating them, ignite leaking fuel, and utilize electricity, traps, and the battlefield to your advantage.

Aim for limbs, legs, or heads, and unleash special combat skills by consuming stamina points. Hard battles are like puzzles with multiple solutions. Find the one that fits your style.

Dialogue is Key

Dialogue in 'Olympus 2249' is not a list of endless "tell me about..." questions. Each conversation flows naturally as in a real-life interaction.

Say anything you want, as sometimes the most outlandish statements are the wisest. Be prepared for unexpected consequences: being shunned by a faction or missing out on certain quests.

Master the Mechanics

Your non-combat specialties are equally crucial, with five to choose from, each unlocking new dialogue options and innovative ways to solve problems.

Even in the early access stage, the game offers a deep toolkit for exploration: item crafting, stealth assassination, reshaping the desert with sandstorms, dealing with radiation and toxic gas environments, the ebb and flow of day and night (NPCs have their daily routines and even their own beds), armor systems, limb damage, randomized encounters with programmed enemies and loot generation, and much more.

Quests are designed around these skills and mechanics, rarely boiling down to simple kill missions. Even the most basic errand can be an invitation to a mini-adventure.
